I downgraded back down to 5.0.1 but I am stuck in a bootloop. I got to recovery to clear cache and it showed at top that the version on the phone is LRX22C but once I reboot it is just stuck in this damn bootloop. Is my phone bricked? Is there anything I can do?

You can try Wug's toolkit to try to reflash the images.

I am on a Mac. I booted to recovery and chose wipe/factory reset It's taking an oddly long time though.

Thank you to the forum community here. I thought I bricked my phone last night. Eventually I have to get out of the bootloop by getting into recovery and wiping phone. Then eventually after everything was erased I was able to get back in and actually restore from a back up. It was an older back up, but was thankful it worked and I successfully was back down to 5.0.1. I flashed the 5.1M OTA zip this morning and am where I wanted to be. Thanks again. Harder to do stuff on a Mac I guess, especially when you aren't 100% sure what you are doing.
