Which Folder to add Music and Notifications

Please help. I have folders containing Music and Notifications. Which folders in internal storage do I add them to in order to use them? I have had no success in adding them and using them on my Nexus 6. Thank you.

I put mine in the sdcard/Ringtones folder. You can move/copy them from the /system/media/audio folder to any folder in the emulated sdcard folder. Then you will be able to access them for apps needing a notification/ringtone.

I figured out the problem. I converted all to MP3 format and BAMM!!! Success. Notifications in Notifications folder and Music in Music folder. My media initially was not in MP3 format and thus was not recognized. All is well and good now. Thanks.
