Widgets Randomly Stop Updating

I have a Chronus clock and an Accuweather widget that wil randomly stop updating. The only way to resolve this is to reboot the phone. The Chronus clock works ok, but the battery meter will randomly stop updating. The Accuweather wigdet will also stop. If I remove and re-add the Accuweather app, all I get is the "Loading" screen.

I am on a Nexus 6 on the T-Mo network. Currently running OS 5.1.1, build LYZ28J.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is quite annoying!

I have this happen too. My calendar, weather and ESPN widgets all stop updating after awhile. If u don't want to reboot the phone you can also force stop the Google app and it will update them all. But they all go back to not working after awhile again. There is page for the problem on the nexus help forum.

Do you have any task killer apps installed? Probably not, but if you do, try uninstalling it or adding some exceptions to it and see if this helps.

Ever since I downloaded the new Google app update to 5.3.19.19.arm Everything seems to be working again.

Never mind. They still don't work properly for me either.
