Will the Nexus 6 ever be able to record decent video?!

I've been nothing but disappointed in the 6's video capabilities. Why wouldn't Google's $650.00 flagship phone include 60fps video capture at 1080p like every other comparable phone from 2014? The 4K video is choppy as all hell, dropping below 30fps whenever there's relatively quick movement being recorded. Sometimes the video outright skips frames entirely. The 1080p video isn't much better, the one redeeming thing being the lack of frame drops. I know the hardware is capable, so why hasn't there been a fix yet, or at all?

My major grip was the video being jumpy when recording, with marshmallow the recording quality has improved dramatically, almost no jumps.
