Need help transferring data from two phones ago

Hey everyone, I recently broke my nexus 6 screen and had to temporarily go to my old Gnex. When I got my new Nexus 6, I couldn't do tap and go (BC phone screen dead). When I chose to restore via email, it only gave me the option to restore from the GNex rather than my broken Nexus 6 which I had just used less than a week prior.
Can you not restore from two phones behind or am I missing something? Thanks in advance
