Battery life after 7.0

I recently updated to 7.0 and haven't been using this phone a lot and this is the battery life I got. I have never seen this good battery life and I always have a couple phones and 1 just sitting around.

That's insane. I drop 15 %ish overnight. I just put the phone on SILENT everything else is left switched on.

Running the battery down to 28%, except for the first 3 charge cycles, isn't healthy for the battery's long-term life. Try to keep a 40% floor on it. (50% is even better.) Lithium chemistry is not a deep-discharge chemistry (but lithium is the lightest metal). Nexus, Android 7 or anything else, the battery is still a lithium polymer battery.

My N6 barely holds for a day anymore. That's great standby time but I wonder what you're getting SOT.

Mine still pretty rubbish. Currently on 1hr 15 SOT with 54%. In fact while type this it's dropped 2-3%. Frustrating as just looked at wife's phone and she had 1hr 20 with 72%.

I've never had good battery for some reason

Hi. I'm getting very good battery life after the update. However, I did notice some apps cause my standby time to be much lower. For example, the official Twitter app causes my battery standby time to drain faster than if I use a third-party app like Tweetings.

Mine has actually improved somewhat. Its not amazing battery life but I can get through a day without recharging.

Battery life since the update has been ridiculous. It's been doing nearly two days on a charge (around 1:21), while my Nexus 6P (running 7.1.1 Dev Preview) is getting 16 hours or so at most.

Two days? Is that with very light use? No matter what "big battery phone" I've ever owned, I could only make it to 10 or 11pm of the same day. I have a lot of apps/notifications though.

Ok 51% after 8 hours with only 40min SOT. Might try a cache clear

Silly question no doubt but can you clear the cache without being rooted etc. I upgraded and didn't want to hard reset just yet but getting g a few apps fail (not responding)

Thanks. Have given it a shot. Fingers crossed else will need to try a hard reset. Loads of apps have been sticking since the 7.0 it's upgrade. Camera. Google play, bbm, to name a couple

Early days but mine is much better now. From fully charged last night overnight and this morning I have done 2hrs 30 SOT dropped to 46%. I was previously struggling getting this SOT from a full charge. I was also dropping 15%ish overnight. Now is just a few %.
