You are very welcome! And you also kinda sound like me! I'm always asking questions to either learn new stuff or just troubleshot something from someone
Go to krishtrinity for 100 %working trick on how to root nexus 7.
There is no "trick" to rooting a Nexus device. There are 3 steps:
1. fastboot oem unlock
2. Boot into a custom recovery of your choosing (CWM or TWRP)
fastboot boot nameofrecovery.img
3. Flash Koush's open source superuser.zip
Go to krishtrinity for working jellybean 4.2.2 root.
OH HELP I got all the stuff right except once i got the bootloader I must of hit sideload zip and now I cant get anyting to happen cant get it to go back to bootloader with pwr and down it says sideload started now the send the package you want to apply and my pc keeps saying now waiting for device
what do i do - let the battery run out i cant get this thing to budge
hmmm not sure why I did this now CM has no app store, Liquid has no app store. The app store wont install it just blanks out my screen and the downloaded stock recovery fil just keeps aborintng every time I flash it, of couse CM and Liquid does not. Neither set my clock right, Ive spent so many hours on this already. Fun times, stock-recovery and com.android.vending-4.0.25.apk just UGGG
Read the ROM thread or page to see which GApps pack they recommend, but by default it will usually be the latest one available on goo.im
