Default Nexus 7: Reduce lag ROM/Kernel?

Hi all, I'm new to flashing roms and kernels.
I'm using SlimROM with M-Kernel for the moment and it has revitalized my laggy nexus 7.

I'm looking for other options worth testing out. Anything recommendations? What are you using?

    Thanks!

I am currently looking to flash a custom ROM to help with lag... SlimRom andMKernel are two names that have popped up a lot (especially the kernel). Has the combo made a big difference for you?

Yes, it actually has. I found the same combo searching online as well.

When you do flash the rom, it recommends lean kernel, which is included, but many people recommend m - kernel, and I went with that (also included). I tried both kernels. Not sure how much of a difference it made, but it does reduce the lag a lot.

I'm running LiquidSmooth 3.2 MileStone and funky kernel 1.6.2, it's really zippy and stable
