Default Please Help Me Choose The Best Keyboard for My Nexus 7

I want to buy an affordable keyboard for my Nexus 7 and thought either of these would be a good choice. What do you think guys? I'd appreciate any suggestions you can give. Thank you.

    Here are my prospect keyboards.

    Keyboard NO. 1
    Keyboard NO. 2

    Thank you!

I would suggest ordering the second one. It does a better job of protecting the device than the first one.

Make sure your Nexus 7 is the NEW Nexus 7, as it only fits that particular model.

The 1st one with a neoprene sleeve would make a great combo. Easy on and off without any added bulk.

I suggest testing both of them out first before making a decision.

I have bought 3 so far, and the belkin is my favorite it is for a 10 inch tablet, but if you have some black binder clips, and a poetic case, you can clip the back of the case to the back of the stand, and it works pretty well. I also tried a Targus keyboard from Office Max the delete key is where the backspace key is, and I didn't want to character map the keys, so don't use that. I also bought the Verbatim folding one at radio shack it is thicker than most when folded up , but the keys are pretty large and- not all bad, especially at the price. I looked at lots of keyboards made for the mini and 7 inch tablets, the keys are just too small for me.

If you like a full-size keyboard like I do, this has worked great with 2012 & 2013 N7, Xoom, and Galaxy 10.1 tablets I've used it on --

sparksd, have you used the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard with the Nexus 7 running Android 4.3? I ask because the link that ivanhom posted earlier in this thread strongly indicates that there's a problem with Bluetooth and Android 4.3. I was interested in a different Bluetooth keyboard, but the link from ivanhom made me decide to hold off. Now I'm wondering whether the problem was just with one particular Bluetooth keyboard rather than all Bluetooth keyboards.

barryvabeach, I'd like to ask you the same question I asked sparksd about problems between Bluetooth keyboards and Android 4.3. Have you used the Verbatim Foldable Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard with the Nexus 7 running Android 4.3? If so, did you encounter any problems?

Yes, without a problem on both my 2012 & 2013 N7's. Since I wrote my original response, I have bought this keyboard:

Amazon.com: Anker® Ultra-Slim(4mm) Wireless Bluetooth 3.0 Keyboard for iOS(iPad,iPhone), Windows and Android 3.0 and above OS with Built-in lithium battery / Aluminum Body: Computers & Accessories

Much lighter and works perfectly with 4.3.

I think the Logitech k810 is very good.

It doesn't have a trackpad or a numberpad.

It does have: Adjustable LED backlight with proximity sensor, smooth laser etched cupped keys, metal construction, wedge shape, instant bluetooth device switching, function keys, arrow keys, media keys, built in battery, mini USB charging.

It works fine with JB 4.3.

    What more could you want!

Thanks very much, sparksd and tflash, for your helpful and reassuring responses. I'm very happy that the problem between Bluetooth and JB 4.3 may in fact be only with that one keyboard mentioned in ivanhom's link.

Keyboard 1 with neoprene sleeve is the combination I went with. Keyboard gives good protection to screen, very compact, and works well.

I guess full-sized is a relative term. The Anker is 9.4" wide, the Logitech I referenced is 12.3".

I got this for Christmas, it's awesome. Always have it in my backpack with my Nexus 7 (2013).
