Default What is this/what is it for?

I just noticed this on the side of my Nexus. No where in the documentation, at least that I could, find is this mentioned.

    I assume it's some sort of...accessory...port?

It should be the pogo pin connector for a dock. The Galaxy Nexus has the same thing on the side and is used for the desktop dock to charge the phone. I'm guessing Google/Asus will be coming out with something similar for the Nexus 7.

I'd imagine for more advanced options. Like a keyboard and mouse combination. Either way they are for a dock or the like.
