Keyboard Issues on Nexus 7

I haven't found anything worthy anywhere on the internets, so, here's my question. I've tried different keyboards from market, but all of them seem to me useless, for example, special symbols are hidden too far to type text with symbols really fast, as I do on i9100 with pre-beta Swype. I've tried to install pre-beta Swype to N7, but smartphone version is too big for 7" screen and tablet version is too small in portrait orientation, as it has been optimized for 10.1" tablets. Latest Swype Beta has very laggy input by tapping, not swiping and it frustrates me. Somebody can help me to optimise pre-beta swype for tablets to 7" 1280x800 screen? If it's possible. Need a guide or somebody, who is experienced in tweaking swype keyboards, who'll modify it for me. I think, it'll be useful for plenty of people using N7 for typing great texts fast indeed.
