There must be an app for this but you can easily check the battery in settings to find out what is left and what has been eating it.

Are you talking about a physical power indicator light on the case, or a battery power indicator on the display?

Talking about a physical light. After having some power cord issue and tablet running out of juice I couldn't turn on the tablet and didn't know if it was successful charging.

The idea is that the battery lasts long enough that you just leave it "on" nearly all the time, and turn the screen on & off. And whether the screen is on or off should be pretty obvious. I wouldn't mind an LED notification light like my phone has, but it's not really necessary.

Someone let their next 7 totally die and then see if it give you the indication that it's charging mine did not it did not show the battery icon when it was fully dead

How's that battery meter work for ya when the device is completely drained and wont turn on?

Really, I haven't seen "charging." on mine.

It charges fine, but doesn't show that it's charging on the screen.

Thanks. I thought I was crazy.

Plugged it in, showed a "charging battery" on the screen initially. Then after a minute, nothing, and doesn't display anything after that, even if I press the power button again.

I can turn it on, yeah. But I think it's weird that there's no way to show how charged it's getting while off.
