Tablet just froze and won't turn back on.. Should I be worried?

Welcome to Android Central! Can you give us a few more specifics? Can you confirm that you have a 2012 Nexus 7? Is it brand new, or have you used it for a while? Any new apps installed recently?

When the tablet is frozen, you can always power it off by pressing and holding the Power button until the screen turns off. Then you can try powering up again by pressing the Power button until it starts up. If it still freezes, then try booting into the Recovery Menu as described below, and wipe the system cache partition (you won't lose any personal data or settings):

Welcome to Android Central! First, press and hold the Power button for about 15-20 seconds. If the device is powered on and frozen, this should force a power off. If the device is powered off, this is sometimes needed to turn it on.

My tablet froze - so I tried your suggestion of holding the power button for 20 seconds - and it worked!!! I'm so happy!!!!
