I'm sure most everyone is familiar with the wifi tether block on HTC phones. In the past I've used Foxfi and PDAnet Honeycomb to tether my Flyer to my Thunderbolt over Bluetooth, but it was a limited success sort of thing as it really only allowed the browser to get network access. So, now that I've got a Nexus, I gave it a shot again. The tablet and the phone are both unrooted/unromed, completely stock. The Nexus is on 4.2 as of yesterday. Of course the Thunderbolt is still well, you know. Anyhow, I loaded up PDAnet Tablet on the Nexus, paired the two, and activated Bluetooth mode on the phone with Foxfi. Not only did they hook up immediately, but the browser, and every other app I tried had network access. This is going to make a huge impact on the Nexus' functionality. And a way better experience than my past tether endeavor.

Here's a real world and sort of disappointing update. Google Now doesn't work while tethered. I'm surprised considering Gmail does. Shrug.
