I've always struggled with mediocre battery life and wonky battery issues, but recently (within the past week), "Maps" has eaten away 52% of my battery today. I never launch Google Maps, as CoPilot is my preferred GPS--and even then, I rarely use the GPS (I haven't in days). Does "Maps" refer to Google Maps (why on earth it would self-launch, I don't know) or does it refer to the GPS in general? Either way, it's forcing my N7 awake at all times. I haven't downloaded any new apps in a long time, so I don't know why this would randomly start up.
Edit://well this is butt weird. Looking at the screenshot, I noticed my GPS is actually off the entire time, but randomly turns on for a couple seconds sporadically. Yet, "Maps" drained my battery even though I never launched it. I've had maybe 2 hours tops screen time, and I always have brightness at min or below.
Has this ever happened to anyone? Also, what's "mediaserver"?
