Finally decided to try pairing my PS3 controller to my Nexus.

When I connect the cable to the controller it is supposed to turn on and then connect to the device, as I've read in many topics and seen in youtube videos. But it is not working for me.

Here are a few details:

My Nexus 7 is rooted
The OTG cable is working (I used a flash drive connected to N7 to confirm)
I've tried a few different mini usb cables. (Including the original one that came with the PS3 controller)
I've tried 2 different controllers (both fully charged)
I've even tried it on my Epic (rooted) and my Nexus 4 (Not yet rooted)

This is the cable I'm working with: Amazon.com: SANOXY Micro USB Host Mode OTG Cable Flash Drive SD T-Flash Card Adapter FOR Samsung GT-i9100 i9100 Galaxy S II 2 GT-N7000 Galaxy Note: Cell Phones & Accessories

Any ideas as to what the problem can be?
