It may do, with content bought there. As I'd understood the OP, he bought a physical BD, and included in the pack was a retrieval code for a UV copy, which the studio licences for playback via Flixster. So he has to get Flixster working.

Incidentally, my UV download is in HD, and plays fine in Flixster on my N7. I think UV/Flixster have plenty to answer for in terms of the access process, but to me one media player is much like another. Once the film is playing, you don't see any of it anyway.

Vudu will play any of your UV movies, regardless of where you redeemed them from. They do not need to be purchased from vudu.

UV is available in some other countries as well, for instance, the UK, Canada, and it will launch in several more later this year. So you may be in luck if you wait a few months.

Yes, as per my earlier posts, I've got UV content on my N7, and it plays fine via Flixster.

Ok, redeemed a code at Flixster, selected "Download", which it did, as a .MP4 file, tried playing it with the stock video player, get "cannot play this file", tried with Moboplayer, same result, tried with MX Player, same result. Tried another film, does the same thing. What gives? How on Earth can you watch a legal movie on this device? Can someone help?
You can only watch the downloaded movies in the flixster app. Straight downloads to the N7 won't play.

if i am going to download, I prefer using the bigger pipe on my desktop...wired ethernet is going to be much faster than any WiFi, at least for me.

As you also mentioned the Freemake download tool as an alternative, that will work fasterr than Turbo Downloader

At any rate, it's nice to have alternatives...

If you downloaded them from Flixster, you can watch offline - no Wi-Fi needed?

Don't know if this is a rights issue, i.e. the content you have can only be streamed, not downloaded. I certainly got a download option with my UV copy from within Flixster, and it's on my N7 at 823Mb and can be watched offline. Perhaps guinnkevinr can clarify? I believe his original post above indicated some insider knowledge.

Thanks Mathelm. Saved that link for future use. In my case it's not a problem. I only showed the file size to indicate it had been downloaded and the file was on my N7.

VUDU is not yet available in the UK. Just started using Ultraviolet and so far I can only watch my movies in SD I think - does anybody know a UK based alternative (an an international one) really want to view my movies in HD as bought the Galaxy S3 - my first phone capable of doings things other than sending a text or calling - and really want to take advantage of it.

    Hi Callum

Indeed, VUDU is US only. For now, the only option to retrieve/play UV over here is via Flixster. I only tried VUDU (till I hit the US block) because someone said it could play UV's, and I wanted to try an alternative. I didn't need to - my film plays fine in Flixster on my N7, and the card insert in the bd box says the UV copy is HD. Certainly, it looks great on my Nexus. It also plays fine on my Galaxy S.

Perhaps the HD/SD thing varies by film, or whether your UV copy came with a DVD, or a blu ray. Don't know of any other options, or any other service giving you computer versions in the physical box.

Someone earlier in the thread said they worked with/for Flixster (then edited the comment out) and said that for now, in the UK, a UV copy would only work with Flixster. I'm OK with that, as it does work. So I have the bd for the big TV, a digital copy playable via iTunes on my laptop offline, and UV copies playable on both my tablet and phone offline. So all bases covered.

That said, I'm pondering an external blu ray drive, or swapping my internal CD drive, so I can do my own thing ripping. I'll probably try rentals from Google Play first. They can usually be downloaded so can be watched offline. Will need to check out the HD/SD thing.

I have a similar problem. I have ultraviolet movies already redeemed in flixster, but I can only play them in the flixster app. I want to move them and be able to play them in other apps, but I can't. When I use video download capture (evaluation version) I get a large mp4 file that won't play in anything either and some apps see it as only having an audio stream. Is there any way to convert my flixster/uv movies to usable mp4s?

I realized I left some information out. I have downloaded the movvies in the flixster app on my phone and desktop computer. My phone is a samsung Galaxy S5 running lollipop and has a 64gb sd card. I tried the Flixster video app as well.

You can only watch it in the app! The files are DRM protected! Look elsewhere for downloadable playable movie files on your phones.
