Reading e-books

I am trying to view e-books downloaded from the library for my son. For some reason the title I am trying to download has to be downloaded first to a pc the supposedly transfered to the device. They use Overdrive Media console and Adobe Digital Editions. When I plug in the device it cannot be transfered and If using third party software it tells me it's not compatible as it's DRM protected.

Does anyone have any ideas as I'm stumped!

You need to install the overdrive media console app from the google play store on your nexus 7. Then you can download the book using the app. You do NOT need to involve your computer in this process (it won't work).
