Google Play no longer works - can't access or download apps

At first it was just that I couldn't download apps. But now, I cant even access the Play Store all together - it seems like the Play Store app itself crashes when i click on it. This all started yesterday and until then everything was working fine. Ive tried turning it off and on twice already.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Go to settings >apps > all apps. Scroll down to bottom. U might find the download manager has been disabled. Enable this then reboot your nexus. This worked for me today. Good luck.

I did a factory reset. Pain in the ass, but it worked.
