Using the stock email app how are attachments removed when forwarding?

It took me a minute to understand what you were asking, but it finally hit me on this too early (please let me sleep, you overly demanding cat) Sunday morning. You want to know how to forward an email without including the attachment that originally came with it.

In the Gmail app, you simply tap the "X" on the attachment to get rid of it. But in the regular email app, this option isn't available. As far as I could tell, forwarding forces you to include the attachment.

Therefore, in a situation where you don't want to include it, do a Reply instead. Attachments aren't included in replies. Then replace the recipient name that is automatically generated with the name of your intended recipient. Optionally, use a 3rd party email app that includes this capability.
