New Nexus 7 owner any tips

Hi, found a great deal on a used like new one today for $150. Any tips on setting it up, or changing anything at the start. Was looking for a android tablet to go with my Note 2 since i only had a iPad 3 right now.

If you're thinking about rooting it, do it right away. I never did, and unless I have to do a factory reset for some reason, I never will on this N7. I kind of wish I had rooted it, but it's not a big deal. Some geeky apps require root, or offer extra functionality, but nothing too important to me.

Unlock bootloader. Flash CM10. Or PA if you like the tablet interface.

Definitely unlock the bootloader and root it at the outset....
