Google said Nexus 7 would get it. Though they didn't specify which one. I imagine if it was just the 2013 model they would have specified.

Haven't you guys heard its unofficially out thru Paranoid Android? As of yesterday and today. Official 4.4 will be coming to the 2012 as far as I was told. I'm already on the PA 4.4 ROM.

According to Android Police it will be released in coming weeks for both Nexus 7.

It seemed like it took them no time at all to post the 4.3 factory images. I wonder what the hold up is on the 4.4 ones?

It would've been awesome if Google had released OTA updates for all nexus devices on the kitkat announcement day.

AFAIK nobody with a 2012 WiFi Nexus 7 has seen the update to Kit Kat. No binaries to sideload, no images available. Despite last night's tweet, I don't think it has been released yet. Probably going to update a majority of the 2013 models before releasing the 2012 updates Could still be another week or more.

If you feel confident in your abilities, Android Central has posted the way to manually update to Kitkat 4.4. You can check it out in the news releases.

hmm...have a jailbroken iPhone, and a hacked macbook pro. but...will decide if i need to do this, or can just wait. i got an N7 to learn my way around android (which i mostly like). thanx for the info!
