    Default Android 4.2 Upgrades...

The new Nexus 7 says it has Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Is it upgradeable to Kitty Kat? To future upgrades? If so, how much if any is the cost?

    Default Re: Android 4.2 Upgrades...

Both the 1st generation Nexus 7 from 2012 and the new 2nd generation Nexus 7 from 2013 are updateable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. I own one of each, and both have been updated. There is no cost to update the system--updates are pushed to the device directly from Google over the internet. I would guess Google will continue updating the Nexus 7's for at least 2 years.
