Which of the two Tablets are the better price 2013 Dell Venue 7 vs 2012 Nexus 7?

2013 Dell venue 7 vs 2012 nexus 7

I need to stick to a really really tight budget and a need a new cheap reliable tablet. Where I live, these are the two most reasonable options so please recommend one of the two.Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! The 2012 Nexus 7 is really starting to show its age, so I'm not sure I would recommend it to anyone at this stage. The Lollipop update seems to have made it even more sluggish. But the Venue 7 also isn't the most impressive device by a long shot. What is your budget?

Rakuten.com has the Acer A1 for $90 with free shipping, although it's a refurbished unit. Acer ICONIA A1-830-25601G01nsw 16 GB Tablet - 7.9" - In-plane Switching (IPS) Technology - Wireless LAN - Intel Atom Z2560 1.60 GHz - Rakuten.com. Acer makes relatively decent devices. This one is comparable to the Venue 7.

Groupon Goods has the Asus MeMO Pad 7" for $125. ASUS MeMO Pad 16GB 7" Tablet with Intel Atom Quad-Core Processor | Groupon. It's also comparable, and this unit is new, not refurbished.

Only these two devices are on sale right now and I'm looking for a tablet for my younger brother but I'll be using it too. I'm in Saudi Arabia and both these tablets are 300 SR which is around $80. These are the only two reasonable tablets cheap enough to give to a kid without worrying about having to fix it all the time.

And I'm sorry for posting twice, It's just I wanted a quick reply and I have seen your other one now so thanks. But isn't it possible google will fix the update? I want lollipop on something other than my phone.

I suppose it's possible, but I doubt it. My 2012 N7 was already pretty slow with KitKat, so I don't think it will suddenly improve with another update.
