Replaced my Nexus 7 screen but now wont boot up...
Hey
A while back, say two to three months, one of my kids cracked my Nexus 7 screen. I left it until now, lazy I guess, to repair it. After purchasing a new screen off Amazon I took the old one out myself and fitted the new. Everything went well, I think, but for some reason the damn thing just wont boot up. The best I get is the back light flicking on then off, maybe a chess board effect on the screen and when I tried the hold the volume button / power button trick I heard a clicky generated noise like you get when you switch it on or off.
Obviously from my previous paragraph ive tried the 30second hold button thing, ive also tried charging it for ages and various variations of charging / button pushing, connection to a PC etc, but nothing. Just a momemnt ago I took the back off again and disconnected / re-connected the battery and noticed the smaller block near the battery, what I can only assume is the CPU or something (Half the size of the batter, roughly), was a bit warm.
I did read somewhere the battery could be completely depleted after being dead for two the three months, but then the CPU thing gets hot and I see the backlight, abeit for a second or two. So not sure.
I have no idea what to do and have already spent £30 on a new screen, any ideas / advice would be greatly appreciated.
