Nexus 7 Boots While Charging & Is Slow To Charge

When I try to charge my Nexus 7 with power off, after around 10-15 minutes it re-boots itself and there is hardly any charge.
I've installed a new battery and still have the same issue.
The best way I've found is to charge with the tablet turned on and Battery Doctor running.
Even then after 8 hours it still only gets to 50-60%.

Perhaps the charger is faulty, or the USB lead? Make sure also that the USB port is clean and undamaged.

Mine is extremely slow to charge. I hardly use it for that reason.

I Have found that the lolipop 5.1 upgrade slows charging.
You can fix it by clearing the cache you can google this.
The main issue that I have found is that if the device is in standby and you plug in the charger the device turns on.
So you press the power button to switch back to standby.
Then when you unplug the charger the device comes back on again. If you where watching a video it starts up again holding the screen on.
device is google nexus 7 2012.

Also it sometimes requires a new micro USB port, this fixed one of mine easy to swap out too...
