My Nexus 7 2013 is dead.
I've had the 2013 for 2 years and loved it until 2 weeks ago it stopped holding a charge. I thought it was the battery so I bought & installed a new one. Tablet worked fine for a few hours until that battery spent its charge. So the problem seems to be that it will not charge any battery anymore. I have tried all the Power Button Up/Down combinations to no avail. I will see the empty battery icon in the middle of the screen then it goes away....and comes back..and goes away over & over. I have tried every charger/cable combo, wall outlet, laptop USB. Nothing works. I even bought another charger and left it on it for 24 hours. I verified that the charger works with other devices. I've been wondering if the charger port needs to be replaced, but I'm feeling a secure fit already and they are a bit pricey to buy on a whim. Thankfully I had recently transferred valuable vacation photos to my laptop & flashdrive but I really do miss this tablet. I used it every day! Is it toast??
