Camera result compared to ipad mini

Hii, everyone, how is the new nexus 7 5mp camera compared to the one of the ipad mini 5mp camera.
And the front facer too if you don't mind.

I'm out in the sticks, so I can't post pics. I can say that the camera on the nexus isn't anything to be proud of. Don't get me wrong, I love my nexus, but it definitely is not my go to camera.

While the rear camera isn't anything amazing for a 5MP, it's certainly not (imho) as bad as some have made it out to be. Fully serviceable, but by no means a replacement for a dedicated camera or even one of the better smartphone cameras.

The front camera though seems pretty bad. I didn't have high expectations from a low-res camera, but was quite disappointed at its failure to capture any real depth of color. Taking a picture of the same scene with the same lighting and settings with both front and rear, the picture taken from the front camera is very, very washed out.

One must also take in to consideration that in addition to the front camera being only 1.2 megapixels, it's also fixed focus at close range and meant only for video conferencing.

I had both units.. ( Returned the Nexus-7 ) and it was no contest the Mini's camera is a lot Sharper and Brighter without being washed out.. When I tried to achieve the same quality on the Nexus-7 by increasing exposure, the Nexus-7 just washed out.. The Mini is much better by a Landslide..
