New Nexus 7

Hello everyone,

Earlier today I bought a Nexus 7 (2nd Gen) ..will be my first android device since April when I switched to Windows Phone. I bought the tablet from a private seller, unopened. I'm having a problem where I'm at the WELCOME screen, i click English & it takes me to the select your Wi-Fi screen. I select my own personal wifi & it connects ..as showed in the pic. afterwards it takes me to another screen that reads "Android 4.3 System Update" ..now with my wi-fi it looks like the tablet is not responding. It doesn't want to download the update, which stands at 524k, pretty small. I keep clicking the "Retry Download" over & over but nothing ..even though the wi-fi icon is on & running. The pic shows everything.

I tried resetting my wi-fi & also the automatic setup (WPS) but nothing! any help could be appreciated

I don't know the answer to the particular problem you are having but... Google has a 24/7 technical support line for the Nexus 7!

You might try giving them a call: (855) 836-3987

Reboot device. Proceed without connecting to wifi. (you can set up wifi and google account later)

I have the same problem (nexus 7 2012).
