2013 Nexus 7: default apps broken

Nexus 7 2013 Running Kit Kat... When I try to open a .WAV attachment in Gmail, it says "cannot play video".

When I try to post a picture to Craigslist via Chrome, I cannot browse for files on my tablet - only open camera (no gallery option).

I have cleared all defaults via Apps in settings ... no luck.

Help! Btw, these same actions work perfectly on my Galaxy S4 running JB.

Try choosing Documents. I think you can get to the Gallery through that.
