Wifi home issues

Hello, I'm having serious connectivity issues with my home network foe the nexus 7. The tablet connects to the internet just fine, but everything is so deathly slow. I decided to take it outside and see if this was a problem with my router or the device. I tested it out at my school, my girlfriend's house and best buy. The issues disappeared: Play store fully loaded, I could download apps very quickly and the YouTube app loaded fine. However when i returned home, the same problems reappeared. Obviously this means that my router is not properly configured for this device, which is odd because all my other wireless devices connect to my network perfectly. If anyone can tell me what is necessary for me to do, I would very much appreciate it.

have you tried rebooting the router? just turn it off for a couple minutes, turn it back on.

You could try the steps outlined in this post:

Even if you don't want to stay with a static IP, it would possibly indicate whether your home network DNS entry is the problem...

The idea of static ip is greatly confusing.
