Installed 4.4.2 and since then my bluetooth works for a short time then turns off. You can't turn it back on in settings until you do a hard reboot.

Anyone else with this problem? Can I uninstall 4.4.2?

Haven't had any issues - was just listening to music via bluetooth this morning. You may need to consider a factory reset, unless someone else has a simpler solution. The problem isn't inherent in 4.4.2, so I wouldn't worry about trying to revert to an earlier version, since that's likely to wipe out your data anyway. Might as well try a factory reset before reverting at least.

This is happening on my N4 since 4.4.2

A few times over the last couple of days I've found that Bluetooth has turned itself off when I come to make or receive a call in the car. I can't turn Bluetooth back on and as the OP says, only a reboot does the trick.

I have 4.2.2 on N7 2013. I had no problems using A2DP Bluetooth headphones until the 4.2.2 update. After the update, the bluetooth will stream music to my headphones for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes then the BT shuts down on the tablet and will not turn back on. I have rebooted and each time it hooks back up immediately only to shut down a while later. It is a very frustrating thing to happen while commuting on public transportation.

Running 4.4.2 for a day or 2 here, stock system. No problems observed with BT to-date, primarily using it as a phone tether.

I have exactly the same problem. Except I am using a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse and connecting my nexus 7 (2013) to My TV through a slimport adaptor. I am also using nova launcher 2.3 and am running ART instead of dalvik..
It all works great and did so perfectly on 4.4 but since 4.4.2 this problem has occurred every time that I have used my tablet.
I need to turn off and back on again to reconnect Bluetooth. My WiFi connection has also failed at the same time but not sure if the issue is linked.
Can you give an update on whether factory reset sorts the problem. Though somehow I doubt it.
If not what is the best way to inform Google/android of the issue so they can put it on the to do list.

Can I go back to 4.4?
Didn't 4.4.2 just sort out the camera?
Oh and give us a horrible space bar sound on the keyboard
I would rather have a reliable Bluetooth connection.

I've had exactly the same problem. Also, while connected in the car and on a call, the call "drops" for a few seconds and then reconnects. The other side sees it as if I went mute for a while. Don't know if it is a related problem, but this too started just after the 4.4.2 update.

Has anyone heard about a fix?

If you have a built in system it may be your car's BT stack. My BMW had an issue with an earlier Android update. When I updated the car's BT firmware to the latest version the problems disappeared.

Well a month later and factory restores and cache wipes have not helped. I now have a new problem, the wifi shuts itself off after leaving the range of a router every time. Grrr...

Stock Nexus 4 here. Same Bluetooth issues. Get in my car, synchs up, no autoplay any more. Also BT will not turn back on until reboot.

My wife's Nexus 4 running 4.4.2 has this problem also. She realised that the phone wasn't connecting to her in-built hands-free in the car. When she checked the BT, it was off. She tried enabling, but it switches straight off again. A reboot seems to resolve it, but only for the day. Workaround at the moment is to turn off the phone overnight. Not ideal.

If as you claim 4.4.2 is not the cause what would it be?

BT stopped working automatically on new Samsung Galaxy S4 as soon as new o/s 4.4.2, was applied to it and could not recognize previously paired BT devices. My warranty allowed a replacement and all was warm and fuzzy with the replacement Samsung Galaxy S4 had a bunch of "catch up " updates unfortunately "Kit Kat" or Kitty Crap" 4.4.2 was one of them and now BT does not turn on automatically turn on with unit, you pair something it's not recognized. It's horrible, Google has us by the nads with android o/s. Whats the ZBT solution. Maybe not going for all the Samsung "hipe" and going to a different system.

I had the same issue with my SG4. I did these steps and it fixed the problem.
    1. Power the device off (remove and re-insert the battery).
    2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
    3. When the device vibrates; release only the Power key.
    4. When the Android system recovery menu displays; release the Volume Up and the Home key.
    5. Navigate with the Volume keys to the wipe cache partition option and press the Power key to select.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Duos. I haven't used Bluetooth prior to yesterday so I really can't say whether my problem occurred since upgrading to Android 4.4.2 But this is my problem... I went shopping for Bluetooth headphones yesterday. I tried a couple in various price ranges and found the audio to be extremely choppy, yet they all worked 100% on my wife's Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V running Android 4.4.4. I tried updating but my phone says I already have the latest Android version. I also noticed yesterday that it took a 224k file almost 20 minutes to transfer via Bluetooth from my laptop top my phone. Does anybody have any input for me? Can I revert back to a previous version?
