Hi folks since staples is allowing returns its tempting to see if I can get a different tablet. I've seen a few screen glitches and non responsive tapping at times.

Have you tried a factory reset?
How bad is it? I wanted to get myself a Nexus 7 for Christmas :\

Yes I have reset it. Didn't help. I figure I might as well return it while I can.

Sorry to hear that. I am on my launch unit as we speak. Zero issues. I love this thing.

Keep in mind that reading these forums may cause one to think that there are many glitches. The vast vast majority of users experience no issues so they have no reason to post anything.

I say if it is not working out for you return it and try something else. No need to have stay with something that is glitchy for you.

I plan on staying with the Nexus devices since I like the pure Android experience and have no such issues. Also, as a developer want to be on the latest version of the Android.

I'll be honest the N7 13 is great but the lg g pad GPE gives it a run for its money

Tell you what. You should at least go check out the lg g pad before you decide. Pretty impressed with mine aka my daughters. Really like the size to over the nexus 7

The gpad for $350 isn't very compelling at that price. For $120 less, you can get the Nexus 7 essentially the same tablet, with slightly better aesthetic chops and a slightly smaller display. For $50 more, you can get the iPad mini and its spectacular ecosystem of apps and services, or get the Galaxy Note 8.0 and its many tablet-friendly features. Samsung customized Android far better, adding stylus support and plenty of features that make sense on the larger screen size. Id rather have LGs hardware design and higher-res display, but Samsung makes a far better case for customization.

I was frustrated by my nexus7 as well and had to return it twice to get a properly working model but right now it's the best Android tablet you can buy.

It is 299 on newegg right now and best buy will price match. Might as well look at all your options and choose what is best for you! Good luck.

No I didn't buy it when I bought the tablet, but I had it in my mind to get or at least condider. time flew by and the next thing I knew I was past the 30 day deadline. So i guess no square trade for me.Lol
I did however purchase the square trade plan for my sons galaxy tab 3 7.0 kids edition that I just got him for christmas, so we'll see if I have to file a claim how it works.
