Unlock Bootloader

If I just unlock the bootloader without rooting will I still be able to receive OTA updates? I want to unlock bootloader so in future when I do root I won't loose all my data.

If you unlock the bootloader and don't modify anything else then yes you will still receive over the air. I will elaborate a little bit more when I get home.

Thank You, going to eventually root but want to get the unlocking of bootloader out of way so I can set up my Nexus 7.

PS. Also have Note 3 but being repaired. Hate to go on the Android Forum with iPhone 5S.
