Default Can't decide on Nexus 7 16 GB or 64 GB iPad Mini (1st gen.)

I have both the first generation iPad mini (64 gb) and a Nexus 7 (16 gb) 2013 edition.

I recently got the mini for $250 and am comparing them side by side. This is mainly for school books, PDFs, and power points. I am not sure which I should keep.
I am liking both, there are some pros and cons with each that I notice for myself - personal issues really with both. This is my first tablet.

    Anyone have advice?

You have both, so you should be able to play with them & decide. Specs-wise, the Nexus 7 wins hands-down, other than storage space.

It may come down to which app ecosystem works better for you. And I agree with YAYTech, the storage space may also be important, depending on what you do with your device.

I mainly stream videos from Netflix / YouTube and surf the web. Occasionally, I will read books and power points for school.

I learned to be conservative with space with an iPhone 4s 16 GB. (Which I plan to upgrade to an GS5.)

The 16 GB 2013 N7 should be totally fine for that, and significantly cheaper as well.

I think the 16 GB is more than enough. I use drop box for all my photos and files that way everything is on the cloud. This frees up space on the device mainly for apps.

The Nexus 7 has a MUCH better quality and resolution screen for viewing videos, etc. The iPad Mini has a hair larger screen, but with a much lower resolution/PPI. It's not going to look at smooth & pleasant as the better than 1080p screen on the Nexus.

Yeah, I got the mini for 250$ so it's not an issue of price, just experience.

@YAYTech, I am loving the screen of the Nexus - it's gorgeous, albeit wide, but I guess it just takes getting used to!

For me I prefer the Nexus 7 on the go because it is smaller but the iPad screen is much more efficient.

The first generation iPad mini screen is garbage compared to Nexus 7 2013.
