voice to text Chrome search

when I use the microphone to enter something into the navigation bar in Chrome it will automatically stop once it pulls up A recent search. it started doing this after the most recent Chrome update. Is there any way to stop this? Its very annoying. I check the settings and then it seem to see anything that would help.

Try clearing its cache from settings>apps.

Thanks, that did the trick. Is that something I'll have to do periodically? Seemed odd it suddenly started doing that.

No you shouldn't have to do that anymore. Sometimes updates get screwy with the old apps data and clearing cache can help.
