nexus media importer on nexus 7

In advanced setting u can move files or photos from an attached sd card reader to a flashcard storage device. My problem is you can choose the folder of origin to copy or move but the destination location is only by type, not actual folder like 'todays pics'. Media importer appears to only allow destination type not a specific folder. Does anyone have a answer or a way round this to select destination folder name?

Sounds like you're describing the new behavior of KitKat WRT to SD cards.

I suppose if you were rooted you could get around that restriction but I can't suggest a specific app or method.

Of course, you could downgrade to 4.3.

Thanks for update but its sorted now.
I found the nexus media reader menu confusing at first but now got it sorted.
I find that file manager menu works as long as you have the correct options ticked and proceed in the right steps
