Default What USB OTG are you using and why?

I'm guessing some of you have USB OTG cables especially after the article that Richard put up. I'd like to know what cable you bought for your tablet, and why you chose it over other USB OTG cables.

I bought a cheapy of Amazon. It was a couple bucks. Works great. I don't think it really matters which one you buy.

I would agree with that! However, the cheap cables come directly from Hong Kong and there may be delays in getting them. Amazon sells a $5 cable eligible for 2 day Amazon Prime shipping. For a few dollars more, you get the product quicker.

That's the one I bought as well.

I just plugged in a generic OTG cable that I got for use with my Zaurus sl-c1000 ages ago.
Plugged a USB mouse into that, and instantly had a pointer on the screen that tracked and clicked perfectly with zero configuration.
A USB memory stick was not recognized, as I expected. Need to root the n7 for that.

    I ordered:

Before I even ordered my Nexus7. It does not work for the Nexus7. I had them send me a new one twice at no cost to me because they could of been defective but the last one I tested in store and it works for the HTC one X just fine but not with the Nexus7. Not sure why it does not work.

Won't work for even a usb mouse or keyboard? For storage you need stickmount and a file explorer.

I tried everything from bluetooth dongles & flashdrives to keyboards & mice nothing did anything even with Stickmount and root.

One, MICHIGAN RULES... since I saw you were from there also.

Second, I got some generic micro USB to USB dongles for my Epic 4g Touch before I found out they didn't work on them. I rooted and got a bunch of stuff to work with stickmount but then my Netflix didn't work rooted and that ruined that for me so I returned to stock On a whim since I saw a case with a USB keyboard built in on ebay and was curious as why no one noted on the ad that it needed to be rooted. My desktop keyboard and mouse worked. Both wireless, Logitech K250 anda Microsoft Bluetrack 5000 wireless mouse. Flash drives don't work anymore.
