For comparison - Nexus7 dimensions: H 7.8" x W 4.72" x D 0.41"
Seidio Active Case for N7 dimensions: H 7.91" x W 4.94" x D 0.63"
Seidio Active Case with cover installed: H 8.08" x W 5.09" x D 1.07"

As you can see, the case does not add a lot of bulk to the N7 device.
With the cover it is a bit thicker, but that is so the stand fits inside the cover.

Weight of the Seidio Active Case is 0.3 lbs. Not super light, but not too bad.
(compared to the BobJ case for the N7 which weighs in at a hefty 0.7 lbs.!)
Total weight of the Seidio Active Case with the cover installed: 0.38 lbs.

Looks like the best combination of ruggedized/durability and light weight I have found.
Placed my order today, should have the case & cover in short order.

BTW - One additional piece of information - the cover does snap onto the back of the Active case when it is not in use as a stand. When snapped on the back of the Active case the overall thickness is exactly the same as when it is snapped on the front of the case, and when it is on the back it does not cover any port openings and does not cover the speakers.

I have not taken any pis of the case yet, but I got the case and stand. One word "SOLID". This case completely protects the Nexus 7 and feels great in the hand. This is the high quality and durable case that I have been waiting on. Thanks Seidio!!!!

Yes I have no problems thumb typing with the case on. It should play nice with a screen protector.

How professional would you say it looks? Would you feel silly carrying it into a work meeting with heads of company, etc?

I feel like sometimes these cases look either too rugged or not business enough. I like them, but you always see others with the fake leather fufu ipad cases.

I work in IT so I like the rugged case, I also meet with clients and yes they have portfolio cases and I do not....so be it. It is not to rugged looking but it is rugged

Oh, that's pretty. I ordered the 10terra bamboo case from Kickstarter, but if I ever start taking my Nexus around anywhere this will be on my short list of "required accessories".
