Tried the link for the app provided, from the article link provided and searching the Play store. Can't seem to locate the app. :-(

Looks like the app has been removed from the Play Store. If I find a valid link, I'll post it.

Yep, see it now. Looks like they pulled it down to remove exFAT support and then put it back up. Thanks.

Just downloaded from google play and installed.

Works great without root for my Nexus 7.

Plugged in my 8G flash drive and was able to see all the music and movies files on the usb drive.

Only reads FAT32 drives. Will stream from your usb device or allow you to save to your Nexus.

Looks like its a one way transfer as my usb drive does not appear in my solid explorer app.

Thanks for the heads up. Bought and downloaded the app. Works good but doesn't read all the files on the thumb drive. Have dozens of docs and spreadsheets but it only sees 5 or 6 of them. I must be doing something wrong. Any help is appreciated. Oh, transferred a video file and watched a few minutes and am impressed with the quality on this device.

App works great, read all the "supported" file types on my 32Gb thumb drive, and streamed videos quite well. Does need to support ability to show all file types, otherwise it's fantastic, sort of the "missing link" for the N7 (also works perfectly on my GNexus). So, give the developer his buck ninety-nine and keep him interested in working on this. Brilliant to be able to do this without rooting your device, just brilliant.

I downloaded it and attached my one piece USB otg adaptor but it doesn't recognize the device with a thumbdrive or SD card reader. Should I buy a different adapter? Where did others get one in the US? Can you find one that works on Ebay ?

Do a search on Amazon.com for: Nexus 7 OTG

Lots of hits and most are really cheap. Just be aware of the shipping point. The really cheap ones ship from overseas while the slightly more expensive ones ship domestically.

The one I got fits a bit loosely, however I'll likely only use it for quick transfers, so it should be a non-issue.
