Re: Apps that don't work on the Nexus 7
I've noticed a few games not working, Lightopus was a fun one I can't get from the store. A few others as well, seems like it's mostly a few games I can't get installed.
That's what this thread is about, apps you can't download.
Seriously? We don't have enough individual threads complaining about Play Store Nexus's, we have to start talking about it in threads that have nothing to do with them?Thanked by: - 07-15-2012, 05:48 PM #52

Re: Apps that don't work on the Nexus 7
After a quick look at some of my previously installed apps, these won't allow install to the N7:
Adobe Flash Player (but we knew that, right?)
Amazon MobileThe version in the Play Store won't install on N7, but it will install from the Amazon App Store
AnTuTu Benchmark
Asphalt 6: Adrenaline
Barcode Scanner (and just about every other barcode scanning app I looked at)
Edmunds
Firefox
ADW
Accuweather for Android
Monster.com
Sams Club (ironic, since that's where I bought my N7)
Installs, but acts odd:
CraigsnNotifica - installs, but can't open search results in landscape.Last edited by cmunic8r99; 07-16-2012 at 09:15 AM.

Re: Apps that don't work on the Nexus 7
does anybody know if the app USB/BT joystick center 6 works with the Nexus 7? i'm hoping it does so i can use my new icontrol pad with it and do touch emulation with the app once i'm rooted. if nobody knows i'll jump the gun when i get both the nexus 7 and the icontrol pad and let you all know for those that are interested

Re: Apps that don't work on the Nexus 7
Seems to look good from what I've seen, but I haven't watched a lot on it. I generally don't do videos on tablets as I like big screen TVs.
The Transformer movie looks sweet.
Netflix wasn't pre-loaded like I thought it would be but it works fine. - 07-15-2012, 10:10 PM #62

Re: Apps that don't work on the Nexus 7
The Skype app is kind've buggy in its current state. I was having some issues making a video call and having my video show, and my video shows upside down on my screen, but if I unlock my screen orientation then it shows just fine.

Re: Apps that don't work on the Nexus 7
A lot of the problems are tablet issues, not just Nexus 7 issues.

Re: Apps that don't work on the Nexus 7
Neither version of the USA Today is compatible.
I think it is just a matter of the devs updating their device list and/or optimizing for JB. Hopefully they will get around to it now that the Nexus 7 is out and the Galaxy Nexus phones will be updated soon. - 07-16-2012, 07:51 AM #68

Re: Apps that don't work on the Nexus 7
YES! Thanks a bunch guys. I have been meaning to ask about these but keep forgetting. As long as I can read my feeds, comics, and books I will be okay until more apps are updated and compatible.
Now... about the Amazon Instant Video problem...

Does the Free MMORPG game Faction Wars beta work ok? Anyone kind enough to try it?
