    Default MTP input ?

I found out that although the Nexus 7 doesn't fully support OTG out of the box, this means that you can't use an OTG cable to plug in a usb stick or similar.

This can be resolved by rooting the device and using the stickmount app.

What I want to know is does stickmount work with MTP devices ?

I want to plug my camera in to download and review shots whilst out in the field.I could do this by taking the card out of the camera, putting it in a card reader and pulling down the shots, but it'd be much easier if I can just connect the camera directly.

    Anyone know?

Didn't work for me just now. I was hoping to be able read my Epic Touch 4G. I'm looking for solutions...

What kind of camera do you have? If it is a Canon DSLR, you can use DSLR Controller to connect directly to the camera. This will allow you to not only review existing shots, but fully control the camera while taking shots with the Nexus acting as the viewfinder.

Funnily enough I got my OTG cable yesterday and have set up DSLR Controller

I still don't know if stickmount will do MTP devices, but someone reminded me to check the camera settings as there is often an option to make it switch to mass storage.

I still haven't rooted yet and may not bother..
