Re: no flash support for nexus 7?
Not sure what I am doing wrong. I have followed all of these instructions, sideloaded the flash apk onto my Nexus 7, installed it, and downloaded Dolphin HD. Everything seems to have installed just fine with no problems. But when I go to a website that uses Flash in Dolphin, still no luck. It says it is not supported on my device. Is there anything else you have to do to get it to work?Get your tablet, go into settings and check the setting that will allow you to install apps from unknown sources, click on the flash.apk link above, follow the prompts and install flash, go to the market and get either the Dolphin HD browser or Firefox, then enjoy flash content on the web! - 07-22-2012, 01:59 PM #27
Dolphin removed Flash support for Jellybean last week. You should install Firefox or xScope Browser from the Play Store instead.

Re: no flash support for nexus 7?
Okay, I've seen several posts about installing firefox and then adobe flash 11 so that we can get flash videos to play on our new Nexus 7.
Problem - I am nearly totally computer illiterate. Can anyone give me really easy to follow step by step on how to install firefox on my Nexus 7 to replace the default Chrome ? I don't necessary care to know how it all works (really doubt I'd understand it anyway), just simple "go to this site, download this thing, do this, do that, voila" kinda thing. - 07-24-2012, 12:16 PM #30

Re: no flash support for nexus 7?
I just went to the FireFox app but it had a message saying it's not compatible with the Nexus 7, and didn't have a download option. I found a FireFox Beta and was able to download that, but then it didn't actually work.
I downloaded and installed the Dolphin app but that won't play flash video either.
I feel like I'm missing something basic but being a neophyte with computers, I have no idea what it would be.Last edited by Dominicus Saxon; 07-24-2012 at 12:49 PM.

Re: no flash support for nexus 7?
Holy hell, talk about having to go around the whole mountain to get there lol.
I had to log into Android Central on the Nexus 7 so I could see your link, download the .apk file and install it, find the firefox beta app (since the Nexus refuses to give the option to download the regular firefox app) and install it, then bring up the video website I wanted (DennisMillerRadio.com) log in there and go to his bathrobe sessions (don't ask) then tap the video link to "install" the player for use on his website.
Whew but did it and now that it works, it pushed my 93% rating of the Nexus 7 up to a solid 97%. The remaining total would be if they dropped the price, of course
Thanks for the help and everyone's advice - and patience - with a total newbie but it finally worked. Thanks all !!!

Re: no flash support for nexus 7?
Get a Samsung Galaxy S2 7.0 wifi! Yes, it may not as super powerful as the Nexus 7, BUT it does flash video! If you are like me that like to see videos and animations in the websites now and not to wait until 2014 for full HTLM5, then Samsung is better.
Good luck! - 08-07-2012, 08:42 PM #39

Re: no flash support for nexus 7?
I use flash in Firefox Beta fine. Just needed to install the Flash 11 apk and restart the browser.

Re: no flash support for nexus 7?
i bought a nexus 7 on the 2nd sept 2012, and yes, i found it would not load flash... i dont want to have to sidedoor, backdoor, root, install apk. install dolphin, whale, tuna, cod, fox. cast a magic spell, pray to whoever --.. i just wanted the thing to work. i did not pay 200 quid for something i have work around to get it to work. i was lucky, the shop (c.p.w.) i got it from gave me a full refund...

I'm sorry that you'd rather get a refund, rather than spending 60 seconds installing an app to make Flash work for you. The rest of us will continue enjoying our N7s with Flash. I'd also note that that Adobe made it quite clear that they were officially ending Android support.
