Default Refuse pre-order or sell on Craigslist?

What y'all think? I'm thinking I should be able to resell it at cost

I don't think you are going to be able to sell it for enough to recover tax and shipping costs. Probably better to just refuse it.

What is your time and aggravation worth? If you can sell it to someone for the unit cost, plus sales tax, plus shipping, plus some $ for your time, then go for it.

Otherwise I say take the easy way out and refuse delivery. Easier and less aggravation than dealing with the typical Craigslist buyer.

I'm doubtful on being able to sell for cost when you can buy it new elsewhere. Maybe not lots of "elsewheres" but you can still do it. I don't recall seeing anything being purchased for cost when someone else has had it previously even if you never unwrap & take outa da box. I do wish you luck though. Maybe a nice Xmas or BDay give for a special person?

    If it arrives before Xmas.

Remember that a pre-order doesn't guarantee you will receive it this year. Only that you will receive it eventually.

I would refuse it. Why make it easy on Google? What have they done for you?

There is no way to make sure that you will be home to refuse the package. Your better off just selling it yourself (quicker return rather then waiting for Google to refund you back)

You can refuse a package up to 5 days after it has been delivered. Just dont open it and call them.

Even easier. Just don't sign for it.

Posted this on XDA too but I'm betting it gets lost amongst all the other posts about people not getting their orders yet. Would appreciate advice from my fellow AC members - thanks!

Ordered my 16GB Nexus 7 and cover Jun 27, 2012 1:09 PM CDT. Total came out to be: $304.00 and is scheduled to be delivered sometime today. I also have an order coming from J&R, but who knows when that'll actually ship. It was just for the 16GB Nexus alone. Total for that order was: $210.00 after $15 July 4th savings, no tax & free shipping, and $22 remaining off a J&R gift card.

My dilemna is whether to refuse the delivery from Google Play or sell it on Craigslist for what I paid. Just looking to get my money back, nothing more. Judging by all the recent news I think I'd be able to get a buyer in my market (Chicago area). My question is if I open it and use it for a day or two, would my potential buyer get the $25 Google Play credit & $10 Google Wallet credit if I factory reset the device? Or should I just leave it sealed so that I don't have to worry about that? Also, for those people selling them on eBay or Craigslist, isn't the device linked to their gmail account if they selected the option when they purchased it? I'm guessing the person that opens it still has to enter the gmail password or are google apps and data linked automatically linked and configured. Just curious.

Best of luck to everyone else who haven't received theirs yet!

Mine is on eBay... currently going for $325 + shipping, so I recommend that instead. Threw it up yesterday with a 1 day auction.

Without having to pay shipping (and charging a little extra since everyone else was) I'm making out ahead pretty well.
