I've only watched YouTube videos on my Nexus 7 so far and I don't think it's that bad.

I was rather appalled to discover the Nexus 7 eats babies.

For $200 I think that Transformers in HD and the other HD quality vids I have seen look fantastic!!! Maybe your home router and streaming are crapping out?? Try running a video after downloading.

I don't think it's that bad for the price point. I think what some are missing is the price point of this thing, for $200 they really did put together some good stuff. But if you're comparing it to a retina or something lol on you. Have you looked at the Tegra enabled games? Hmmmmm, AWESOME!

Looks fine to me. Where are you viewing videos from? Are you streaming? Is your WiFi signal weak? Care to elaborate?

It's much better than my NTSC TV at home.

We're very happy with the video quality of ours. Netflix looks great.

Reminds me of when someone sends me an email and put what they want to say in the subject and leave the body blank. Annoying.

I think the quality (downloaded) of the SD movies is a bit over compressed, but it's not terrible and doesn't ruin the experience. For the file size it's pretty good, IMO. I put a 1080p video my Galaxy S2 recorded onto the N7 and watched it, and it looked great. Of course it's downsampled to the 1280x800 resolution of the N7, so it's bound to look good, but at least I can tell that the screen is capable of showing fine details so long as it's GIVEN those fine details.

I will buy an HD movie and download it to my tablet after pay day and see how that looks. I'm in no way going to be upset about a $225 tablet not being able to provide me a crisp high definition video experience. I probably won't be buying ANY movies in HD in order to save space to be honest. Unless Google threw in SD versions of any video you buy in HD...

it doesn't look quite as good (hehe) as my Sammy DLP, but for $250 it's passable.

The only issue I have with the video quality on the Nexus 7 has to do with the screen in general, where the colors are a little too washed out. Perhaps I've gotten too adjusted to the over saturated colors on the Super AMOLED screen of the Galaxy S3.

But other than that, videos look plenty sharp, and play very smoothly on my N7.

I admit the colors are quite good. Realistic compared to most other screens. Good job there.
