Anyone get Amazon Instant Video working?
Sadly, I have been unable to get Amazon Instant Video working on my new N7. I've tried sideloading flash with dolphin browser and Firefox to no avail. Has anybody been able to get AOD to work? Any suggestions?

Amazon videos are working for me on my nexus 7. I sideloaded firefox and adobe flash player apps from my galaxy nexus running jb.
I have problems going full screen once in a while (I am not sure if it is the flash problem or the Firefox's incompatibility with nexus 7). But most of the times, full screen videos on amazon work. - 07-21-2012, 09:13 AM #3
It works fine for me using Firefox Beta.

Hi guys - first post here. Migrating from BlackBerry to Android and I'm starting with the Nexus 7. Going to have a lot of catching up to do. Anyway...
Do I understand correctly that if I download the Firefox beta from Play or Android Market I will be able to get Amazon Prime working...without downloading other things? Is that correct?
Trying to get a handle in a different ecosystem and I appreciate the guidance - 07-24-2012, 09:24 AM #12Thanked by:

Re: Anyone get Amazon Instant Video working?
You will still have to side load the Flash player. Instructions are here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/goo...n-try-fix.html

Re: Anyone get Amazon Instant Video working?
I got it working by side-loading Flash and using Firefox Beta. I don't understand why Amazon won't just release an Android app (beyond the Kindle Fire) when they are going to great lengths to make their video service available on a bunch of other devices (PS3, Roku, etc).

Yea, I can understand that argument, except they offer their other services for Android (like Kindle ebooks and their music player). Besides, isn't Amazon actually losing a little money on each Kindle Fire sold? The point of the KF is to have a device to increase sale of their digital goods. rather than to make money selling the device itself. How does it make sense to limit the devices on which those digital goods are available?
I will concede that Amazon's strategy with the Kindle Fire may change with the new models coming out this year, and then I could see having Amazon Video exclusivity becoming a selling point for those devices. - 07-26-2012, 01:39 PM #18

Re: Anyone get Amazon Instant Video working?
Hey i was going through your video step by step. downloaded es file manager, went to settings, root settings, checked up to root then root explorer. my device which i just purchased yesterday says this option is for rooted devices. Will i have to root my device before i can proceed with the rest of the video?

Re: Anyone get Amazon Instant Video working?
Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Side loaded last Flash player from my Amaze, installed Firefox and Firefox beta, neither recognize the Flash player.
Sent by accident, not using the Android Central app
Nexus 4 (Mako), Amaze 4G on T-Mobile. Nexus 7 16GB. Google Chromebook (2012 Samsung 16gb). Next stop, a Google flush toilet.
Did I solve your problem? Hit the Thanks button. Was I just a nuisance? Sorry, can't bat .400 every day. - 09-30-2012, 11:01 AM #25
