I have not seen this thread posted on our forums yet (a few on other sites but nothing with any answers).

I just wanted to start one here for when a solution is found. I know the N7 does not have MHL support at this time and wanted to know if anyone has any way of connecting your N7 to your television to view media and games on the big screen?

Any and all setups appreciated, just please mention if you are using a stock/unlocked/ROM'd device and if it is required for your solution in your explanation.

I use iMediashare and stream to the TV over DLNA for video. Don't know about games though.

This has been discussed around here, a few times. It's just that nobody likes the answer.

The N7 has no facilities for screen mirroring to an external display.

The best you can get is to install a DLNA/UPnP server onto the device and then access it on the TV from a DLNA or UPnP client device. That will work for streamable media, but will do nothing for games.

(You can also link your android device to your PS3 so the android will act as a remote control for Youtube playback, if you consider that applicable.)

nexus 7 RCapp > wireless (can use wired connector) > network (LAN) > PC DLNA/UPnP/other media software > network(LAN) > media device > TV
where LAN can be wired or wireless and RC equals "remote control"
OR
nexus 7 w/ DLNA/UPnP/other media software > network(LAN) > media device > TV

Double Twist will also stream media to an Apple TV, Sony Bravia systems, Google TV with one specific app, Playstation 3.

I have the black Cisco uverse box model isb7500 I believe that's what it says in the lower left corner

and a host of others.... either route media from the N7 or use the N7 as a remote control for a media server on your LAN / Internet to a DLNA player connected to your TV or your networked TV itself.
