Re: Google is planning a rear facing camera!
Back when this was the Asus memo 370t it had a rear facing camera and no front. I think they made the better choice in the long run.

As nice as it would be to have a rear camera I can't imagine the quality would be very good. I'd rather them spend the extra cost and improve then front facing one.

Re: Google is planning a rear facing camera!
i never understood why people want a rear facing camera. They're never as good as even a semi decent point and shoot(even still most are pretty bad) and plus you look like a bit of a fool holding up a tablet to take photos lol. Im glad they ditched it to keep the cost down.

Re: Google is planning a rear facing camera!
I have to agree with the other guy in here. Why does one need a rear facing camera on the Nexus 7? I just don't get it.

Re: Google is planning a rear facing camera!
Agree with the other posters, there's no need for a rear-facing camera.
My only minor complaint with the front-facing one is that I wish they would've angled it slightly toward the display, instead of perpendicular to it. When I'm holding the tablet I'm not looking directly at it, or 90 degrees head-on. When using it for video chat you have to hold it at a weird angle to get your image to present properly.
Small nit, I know...
