    Default Staples availability/ Milo.com

Read an article today, forget what site, but the author stated that Milo.com lists the nexus 7 availability at nearby Staples stores. I went on that site right away and count a store that just received some in stock. I called the store and confirmed with their associate that they did in fact receive stock. I dropped everything and left, got to the store and picked up a 16 GB model. I canceled my previous order from Google and now happy as a clam. A shame that stores have received stock prior to pre orders. Anyways, give the site a shot and maybe a store near at you has received additional stock.

But be aware that Staples counts the floor model as "1" on their site availability. Call before you go...

Most definitely, that's why I called prior to making the 40 mile trip, lol!

I hope you drove in hybrid because that means you bought your tablet for an additional 30 for your round trip

Yeah, I got mine ("the last one") at a Staples yesterday. You can go directly to the Staples website and check in-store availability. The info is about a day behind. Right now, in my locale, within a 100-mile radius only *one* store reports it has it in stock, and only in limited supply.

I went on staples site today and saw that they had them as listed in stock in my area. I called three stores and all of them said they were out of stock. The last store the girl told me to call back cause she just got a truck in. I called her back in thirty mins and she put me on hold for another twenty while she checked the truck. She got in two 16 gigs and was nice enough to hold one for me. I'm typing this on it right now.

That's beyond the call of duty and you should email/mail her higher-ups about it.

Saturday (in a store different from where I got mine Sunday), the delivery truck was sitting right on the parking lot, and I was told that they don't know what's on-board until unloading which will take the rest of the day.

Google really underestimated the demand for the 16GB model and wanted everyone to just access the cloud. Not going to happen until cheap/free fast wifi is ubiquitous.

Lol, car gets good gas but the round trip was no where near $30. Its also worth it, to me, to have the tablet and not wait in the dark any longer from Google.

I couldn't wait on GameStop and checked Staples in Williamsburg, VA today, been checking pretty much every day. They got some in stock today, so I drove up right after work and picked one up Woot! Now I'll have 2 once my GameStop order comes in.

They did not say how many they got in but there was an older couple in front of me that was buying one as well.

I picked up a 16gb yesterday from the local Sam's Club. They were sold out of the 8gb but had several of the 16gb still in stock.
