Default Google+ Photo Albums Using On Device Storage

Does anyone know if there is a way to keep Google+ photo albums from using the onboard storage on the Nexus 7? If these albums are all stored in the cloud why are they taking up space on my device?

I'm glad you asked. I just checked and all my Google + pics are on the Nexus 7 and I wasn't connected when I checked.

I just saw this this evening for the first time. Very annoying.

I would like to know a way to keep the photos off my N7 storage too.

Within the Gallery app's options, there's a toggle for syncing with your Google Account. Deselect that and see if that helps.

then clear the gallery app's cache afterwards to clear what's already been synched.
